I’m officially thankful I tuned into this year’s Academy Awards. Not only has Jon Stewart done a brilliant job at hosting, but when Colin Farrell introduced Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansardf from the hit Indie movie Once my heart nearly skipped a beat.
Irglová and Hansardf performed “Falling Slowly,” and it brought me back to the moment when I first saw the Once. The film immediately captured my soul with its intense emotional story.

It was a great performance, and I was indeed thrilled to hear that the Academy Awards gave these two talented performers their well-deserved moment to shine.

YES!!!! And also a hearty congratulations to Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansardf for taking home the Academy Award for “Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song.”
It’s well deserved. I’ve got to give it to the Academy Awards for allowing Irglová to say her thank you. When Hansardf went overtime, and the music kicked in Irglová simply walked off stage and smiled. The producers actually cut the music briefly to allow her to speak, which they typically don’t do, but she had already left the stage.
Later on, Jon Stewart brought her back out to say her thank you.
Great job Academy!!!
