The world of Smallville is still reeling after the shocking events of episode 10 -’Persona.’ The gap between Lana and Clark has widened after Lana’s infidelities with Bizarro. It seems Clark can’t get over Lana sleeping with another one of his enemies, regardless of the circumstances. Hey, could you forgive a woman who slept with your arch-rival and an ex-con from the Phantom Zone? Probably not.

Two heroes guest-starred on ‘Siren.’ Oliver Queen (aka Justin Hartley), aka the Green Arrow, is back in Smallville, and he has enlisted the help of Clark’s sidekick Chloe (Allison Mack). Unfortunately, Chloe’s work for the Green Arrow leads her into a run-in with Lex Luthor and another guest hero. Smallville gets visited by its first woman superhero from the Justice League. The Black Canary (Alaina Huffman), a mystery woman with a subsonic cry, shows up helping Lex Luthor of all people. As always, Lex twists the truth and enlists the Canary to capture the Green Arrow.

Meanwhile, Lois discovers Oliver’s secret when the Black Canary attacks Oli at his home. The revelation is too much for our budding reporter to handle, and Lois breaks up with Oliver Queen. What a turn of events. Just last season, Oliver called it off with Lois because he couldn’t expose his secret. Now that he’s back and Lois is out of the dark, she calls it off. I guess some people just can’t handle dating a hero.

When the Black Canary discovers the truth about Lex, she and the Green Arrow team up to attack lex at his home. And now the JLA is one member larger. The funny thing is that in the comic world Black Canary has just recently married the Green Arrow. ‘Siren’ concludes with a scene of Black Canary walking away with the Green Arrow, a foreshadowing of things to come.
My only issue with this episode is that we still don’t know the ultimate fate of Lana and Clark. I just want some finality established in the relationship. If it’s over… then it’s over.

Be sure to tune in next week on Smallville for an all new episode.
