Heath Ledger died due to an accidental overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication and other prescription drugs, according to the NYC medical examiner. Ledger was found on January 22nd in his Manhattan apartment and was pronounced dead on the scene by medical technicians.
According to spokewoman, Ellen Borakove, the cause of death was “acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine.”
News of this tradegy still stings and hopefully, the media can now discontinue speculation and let the actor’s family grieve in peace.
