Looks like there’s more G.I. Joe casting news to know about. Veteran actor Dennis Quaid will be tapped to play the Joes commander, General Hawk, according to FirstShowing.net.
This seems more like a normal choice compared to the unusual casting of Channing Tatum as Duke and Marlon Wayans as Ripcord. I actually like the addition of Quaid to this cast - he is a talented actor and usually can be counted on for a solid performance. Hawk himself didn’t show up in the G.I. Joe cartoon until the premiere episode of the second season, Arise, Serpentor Arise.
Quaid can also be seen in the upcoming movie, Vantage Point, to be released nationwide on February 22, 2008.
