“Step Up” star Channing Tatum has been cast as Duke in the upcoming , according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Strangely, Tatum is only 27 year old, but Duke is second in charge of the G.I. Joe unit - a role you’d think would be more of a war veteran. No fault to Tatum, but his casting may speak more towards marketing the movie rather than casting who Duke should really be.
This is the latest in a string of weird choices for the cast of this film. It was reported earlier this month that Marlon Wayans will be playing Ripcord.
I’m really not sure what to think about this film but I’m really rooting for it.
