Out of 63 foreign language films, 9 films have made it past the initial screening by Oscar voters.
Only 5 films will receive the Acadamy Award nomination from the following 9 foreign language films. They are:
- “The Counterfeiters” from Austria
- “The Year My Parents Went on Vacation” from Brazil
- “Days of Darkness” from Canada
- “Beaufort” from Israel
- “The Unknown Woman” from Italy
- “Mongol” from Kazakhstan
- “Katyn” from Poland
- “12″ from Russia
- “The Trap” from Serbia
The Academy Awards airs on Feb. 24. Jon Stewart is scheduled to be though host, without the support of the WGA.
