Prison Break - episode 9 - Boxed InTonight saw the return of my beloved show Prison Break and I think they really gave a new meaning to the word “break.” It seemed like forever episode 8 aired in November, but all plot details came back quickly as soon as the show started. Here’s what happened in tonight’s episode:

Scofield Talks - Michael is placed in solitary confinement for his role in the attempted prison escape. Here, Colonel Zavala gives him an ultimatum - Give up the info on who coordinated the escape or die. Michael decides to talk - bringing Whistler down with him.

Whistler Talks - After being brought in by Colonel Zavala, Whistler is also coerced into talking and revealing Gretchen’s name. Oohh, she’s gonna be pissed when she finds out. Gretchen is then apprehended by Zavala himself (doesn’t this guy have minions to do his dirty work?) and brought back for a short torture session.

Gretchen Walks - Zavala forces Gretchen to take him to where she’s holding LJ Burrows - but for some strange reason goes himself and takes an incapable guard. Gretchen breaks free, kills the guard and Zavala, as well.

Bellick Fights - Bellick is challenged to a fight (with the chicken foot thingy) and resorts to fighting dirty (with acetone) in order to win. Bellick’s underdog win makes T-Bag realize that he may have someone to take care of Sammy for him.

Sammy Plots - A mysterious man has Sucre smuggle in a gun into Sona and it eventually ends up in Sammy’s hands. The man wants him to take out Lechero and become the new head honcho in Sona.

All in all, it was a good episode although the plot didn’t move too far. Michael’s still in jail, Lincoln is still clueless and Gretchen is even more pissed off than before. Tune in next week to see another attempted escape and see if Sammy does in fact take out Lechero.

    Favorite moment of the week.
T-Bag says to Bellick after his chicken foot throw down at Sona, “Yuse a regular Busta Douglas.”
