NBC has finally answered the big question on every Chuck fan’s mind. When will Chuck return to primetime? The answer is Chuck will return, but only for two episodes.
On Thursday Jan. 24, NBC will air the last two completed episodes of Chuck. Episode 12 entitled “Chuck vs. The Undercover Lover” will air at 8-9pm just before “The Celebrity Apprentice.” While the final episode of Chuck, entitled “Chuck vs. the Marlin,” will air at 10-11pm right after “The Celebrity Apprentice.”
Though the freshman spy comedy has been scheduled to have a full season run, the final 9 episodes will only be produced after the conclusion of the WGA Strike. Hopefully, airing the final 2 episodes around “The Celebrity Apprentice” will give “Chuck” the ratings boost it needs to stay alive to see those final episodes come about and possibly entertain a second season.
When we last left Chuck, he was stuck between the proverbial “rock and a hard place.” On one side he was at war with pseudo-girlfriend Sarah’s resurrected ex-boyfriend Bryce. While on the other side Casey, the ever maniacal and loyal government agent, was given notification that Chuck’s usefulness as the “intersect” was almost over.
Don’t forget to tune in Jan. 24 for the last two episodes of Chuck. The series is definitely worth the watch, and hopefully the ratings boost will keep Chuck alive.
