Starting on January 2, 2008, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien will return to the air with new episodes.
NBC has been showing reruns of the late night talk shows for about two months now due to the Writer’s Strike.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out, because the shows will be returning sans writers. Are Jay and Conan shining up their stand-up routines for extended monologues? It will no doubt be a challenge for them. To their credit, they have very charming personalities, but their performances every night are sharp because of the creativeness and cleverness of their writers.
