Rapper Pimp C, of the Texas hip-hop group Underground Kingz (aka UGK) was found dead at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles. The rapper, who’s real name is Chad Butler, was 33 and is survived by a wife and three children.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has stated that the rapper apparently died in bed and that there currently were no signs of foul play.
Pimp C was probably best know for his appearance on Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin’” song, but UGK is considered a pioneering group for the Texas hip-hop scene. Pimp C formed the group with high school classmate, Bun B.
