In Heroes episode 10 “Truth & Consequences,” Peter tries to destroy the virus he believes will kill most of the world’s population. Of course, Peter, delusional as ever, is following around Adam Monroe aka the 400 year old Takezo Kensei, who plans to do more evil than good.
Peter and Adam’s travels leads them to the one woman who has remained anonymous to this day, Victoria. It is revealed that the company made the virus and Victoria was its creator. When Victoria tries to blow off Adam’s head (just the “Highlander” or “Fist of the North Star” you have to take down these immortals by taking off their head), Peter decides the pacifist route may not be good enough and takes Victoria prisoner. Of course in the hands of Adam, a prisoner can’t stay alive too long.
After Peter learns that the virus is in Texas, where all this drama started, Adam lets Victoria go. Victoria immediately goes for her shotgun to take off Peter’s head, but not before Adam has a chance to put a bullet in her back. How low can a fallen samurai go? Adam knew Victoria would try to shoot Peter and used the clever ruse to end Victoria’s life without looking like a villain.
Hiro travels back in time to learn the history behind Adam’s relationship to the company and his father. He learns about the virus and where it’s stored.
The Buzzfocus.com Moment of the Week goes to Ando. When Hiro rushes off to stop Adam from unleashing the virus, Ando asks, “Why is saving the world always your responsibility?”
Actually, scratch that. The Buzzfocus.com Moment of the Week goes to Sylar for killing Alejandro. For 10 episodes of Heroes, we were forced to watch a powered down Sylar and the exploits of Maya and Alejandro. Between season 1 and 2, that was quite honestly the worst part of the Heroes story arc ever. I’m sure everyone’s glad to see that arc finally come to a close.
