Dreamworks is really started to stretch the Shrek Franchise like turkey is for Thanksgiving leftovers. Our favorite green ogre will star in a Christmas special, coming to ABC this Wednesday.
“Shrek the Halls” follows a typically grumpy Shrek and his family (Fiona and the triplets) as the ogre gets some unwanted visitors at his doorstep on Christmas Eve. Those visitors include the normal misfit pair, Donkey and Puss N Boots, who disrupt Shrek’s plan for the holidays. As expected, this causes Shrek’s much angst and results in Scrooge-like antics. At the end, SHrek does an about face and realizes the true Christmas spirit.
This should be a great special for kids and will get everyone in the mood for the holiday season. You can watch Shrek the Halls this Wednesday at 8PM on ABC.
