Cage, Buscemi and Morgan Go Animal in G-Force Film

Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films have inked deals to bring Nicholas Cage, Steve Buscemi and Tracy Morgan to their new film entitled “G-Force.” The part CG part live-action film centers on a group of intelligent animal commandoes who work for a government agency trying to prevent an evil billionaire from taking over the world. The trio will voice the IQ heavy animal commandoes.

The Hollywood Reported stated: Cage will play Speckles, a mole; Buscemi will portray Bucky, a hamster; and Morgan will voice Blaster, a guinea pig. Nighy will portray an industrialist, and Arnett will play an FBI agent.

The film will be directed by Hoyt Yeatman, best known for his Academy Award on “The Abyss” for visual effects. Bruckheimer told the Reporter that Yeatman was “a visual effects genius, and he has worked on a number of our movies in the past.”

Bruckheimer continued, Yeatman “came up with this idea with his son, believe it or not. We developed the screenplay. … Now we are filming… It’s exciting for us to get into a whole new medium.”

The new Disney G-Force film has nothing to do with the 1980s animated series Battle of the Planets / G-Force: Guardians of Space.
