Production of NBC’s “30 Rock” may be disabled by the Writer’s Guild strike, but its star Tracy Morgan is keeping busy this weekend by going back to his roots, stand-up comedy. This weekend at Caroline’s Comedy Club, you can catch the former Saturday Night Live member doing his best to make people laugh off their Thanksgiving turkey overindulgence.
But don’t expect Brian Fellows or any of his other “tame” SNL characters. Tracy’s performance is well over the top with some room to spare. I was able to catch his first performance last night and Mr. Morgan pushed the envelope as far as he could in his hour and a half. The packed crowd included two members from the hit R&B group Boyz II Men.
When the performance is done, expect to completely understand Tracy’s views on sex and relationships, which were frequently perverse in nature. His routine was hilarious, but definitely brought forth moments of complete shock that generated awkward (and nervous) laughter from the crowd.
Tracy will be at Caroline’s on Friday November 23rd and Saturday November 24th. Visit Caroline’s Website for ticket purchasing information.

Tracy Morgan was horrible. I loved the two comedians that opened for him, but Tracy had absolutely no stand-up talent. He should stick to writing and acting out the writing. I don’t think I laughed once.
