The first decade of the new millennium has become the decade for comic book film adaptations. The latest comic book to get a whiff of Hollywood is the upcoming title “Starkweather” by David Rodriguez. Benderspink has optioned the rights to the film adaption for the coming graphic novel.
The story, described as “Harry Potter” meets “The Bourne Identity,” follows a slacker in his 20s named Alexander Starkweather who is under an amnesia spell that renders him unaware of his magic lineage. When he finds himself under attack by supernatural foes, he must discover the secrets of his past in order to protect Earth.
“Starkweather” will be published by Archaia Studio Press, who also released the English language adaption of “The Killer.”
