While strolling on N. La Brea in Hollywood this week, I was able to see the LA Ink production team filming an episode of LA Ink at High Voltage Tattoo. Kat Von D was all done up and giving a patron a tattoo and also getting a ton of direction from the producers.
If you’re in the LA Area and want an LA Ink tattoo, you’re going to have to abide to their filming schedule.
During Filming, the shop hours are:
MONDAY - FRIDAY
9 pm to Midnight
SATURDAY and SUNDAY
Noon to Midnight
Once filming is completed, shop hours will return to Noon to Midnight, EVERYDAY.
LA Ink returns to TLC in January for Season 2.

I am 31 years old and a single mom. I love my life and find peace on a daily basis. My twin sister died in a car crash 5 months ago. I … I… well… what do say after that. You pause from typing and you cry all the tears you have avoided crying. Her name was Trisha and she was the epitome of life. She was tatted, stretched, pierced… she used to scare the crap out of our parents. She was the black sheep. She was my other half. She was your biggest fan. She loved pinup art, I have a great picture of her that I am going to tweak a little and create an oil painting portrait. I have to be able to see her, to talk to her… God I miss her. She taught me how to be free. I really want Kat Von D to do this tat (my first one) full back of my twin sis (we called her Lady) in a classy pinup pose on the golf course (she loved to golf… it was so awesome how she was one person but able to be on both totally opposite sides of the spectrum). I don’t want Kat to do this tat because I want to be on TV (which is what I am finding advice on how to do while doing my research online.. seriously… people are searching for ways just to be on TV?… what about life?) Trisha and I used to sit and watch Kat together on TV, she bought me a magazine for our b-day with a Kat spread and 2 unused tickets to a private party as souvenirs. Trish was crazy, funny, outspoken.. if she knew what was on your mind she would say it for you if you didn’t have the guts! Our love for the art on LA Ink was something we shared, enjoyed, I had hoped one day her and I could both go to LA and get tatted together on a birthday. I need my twin sister on me, with me, back together with me. My family members, Dad and 4.. sorry 3.. other sisters have all been tatted with a General Star (she had 13 general star tats) or have their appointments set. I realistically imagine mine will take 1 to 2 years to complete. It will be large and on my back, it will hurt, it will be the one of the most important and emotional moments in my life save the birth of my daughter Tatum. Trisha was the love of my life. You don’t just say goodbye.. you slap their ass on your body somewhere! See you on the flip side.. don’t forget to tell those close to you that you love them… later bitches.
I would love to get a guest spot of me & Kids on the show & as well get me a tatto as we are ALL avid watchers & We think you rock KAT!!!

I not sure if this is where I would request an appointment w/Kat for a tat, but if it is, I would like to do so. I remember Kat and her wonderful work from Miami ink. I was looking for her on Miami Ink webpage but did not see her. I then came across Kat on LA Ink and was excited about tring to get a tat by her. I recently put my dear pet persian cat of 10 years to sleep a few weeks ago. Marley (that was my cat’s name)became sick within a short time, and then, had to be put down. As a devoted pet lover, this just hurt my heart. Eventhough Marley was an animal, he was a living creature with a wonderful personality and spirit. I had been wanting to get another tat, but was not sure what to get. Then it hit me. Several years ago, myself and some friend had met up in Miami. I had noticed the tat of a dog on my firend arm. My friend had did a tribute to his pet that had passed on. I remember thinking what a wonderful way to show your love. So, her I am several years later wanting to do the same for my buddy Marely. I would like to find out how I can make an appointment.
I also saw them filming recently. I’m definitely looking forward to season 2.

Hang in there-I applied last march or April and I was notified. I now have an appointment w/kat for mid January.
