The Day of Black Sun is fast approaching and the invasion forces are almost ready to rendezvous with Team Avatar. The pressure of being the Avatar becomes too much for Aang, who realizes in just a few days he will have to go toe-to-toe with the Fire Lord.
Aang begins to have reoccurring nightmares about confronting the Fire Lord. The stress causes him to not sleep and work day and night practicing for the final confrontation. Not sleeping begins to wear on Avatar Aang who becomes overly paranoid.
Meanwhile, Prince Zuko is living the high life and enjoying all the comforts that come with being the son of the Fire Lord, a priviledge he shares with his girlfriend Mai. But, Avatar Aang is not the only person who is paranoid. Zuko thinks his father is holding a secret war council without inviting him. And, when Azula gets a formal invite it only serves to anger the aspiring fire lord.
When Zuko decides to avoid the war council, he learns that the Fire Lord will not hold the meeting without his son. He joins the war council and is accepted as the honored and respected son of the Fire Lord. Unfortunately, he shares with Mai that though he’s the son his father wanted, Zuko didn’t feel like he was being himself.
Back to Avatar Aang - with his friends looking out for him, the Last Airbender is able to overcome his fear and finally gets some sleep.
