On Dec. 10, former vice president Al Gore will be honored with the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in alerting the world to climate change and global warming.
On Dec. 11 Tommy Lee Jones, Gore’s roommate at Harvard, will join in Uma Thurman in hosting the Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
Geir Lundestad, a member of the Nobel Peace Prize committee, said, “She (Thurman_ brings iconic style and substance to the event and will help us tremendously in our mission of spreading the global message of peace.”
Other performers to appear include Annie Lennox, Alicia Keys, and Melissa Etheridge.
