The American Film Institute Festival Invades LA

The 27th Annual American Film Institute (AFI) Festival is descending upon Los Angeles again, running from November 1st-11th, 2007.

If you’re in the LA Area and pride yourself on your taste for movies and film, it’s definitely worth checking out. The festival, one of the longest running in LA, presents an international competition of features, documentaries and shorts.  Mega hits such as City of God, Hotel Rwanda, and Monster’s Ball have all premiered at the festival.

One of the most anticipated features at the festival is a new documentary about David Lynch entitled Lynch.

Synopsis:
Lynch at the AFIThis rare glimpse into the mind of the man who created visionary classics like Eraserhead and Blue Velvet documents the making of Inland Empire. We listen to Lynch discovering the beauty in ideas and struggling to unveil his cinematic vision. His enthusiasm is infectious, inspiring us to tap into the well of creativity that he believes we all have.
