This week on LA Ink, Pixie is having boyfriend troubles, Sebastian Bach comes by for a tat from Kat and Kat takes up surfing as a new hobbie.
Pixie is bummed out at the shop because she’s having problems with her boyfriend. They argue a ton and Pixie would rather hang out at the shop than be home. Of course, it all turns out to be solved by the episode, so no harm, no foul.
Kat also tries her hand at surfing but is unsuccessful at learning the new sport.
Here’s this week’s tattoos (click thumbnails for larger pictures):
Patron: Bonnie, Musician
Tattoo Artist: Corey
Concept/Backstory: Bonnie wants a tattoo of a music note on her left wrist as a symbol of her passion for music.
Result: Quite possibly the simplest tattoo in all of LA Ink (and Miami Ink for that matter).

Patron: Sebastian Bach (former musician from Skid Row)
Tattoo Artist: Kat Von D
Concept/Backstory: Sebastian wants a tattoo of a painting that his late father did some years ago. It’s a portrait of David (from the Bible) watching people carry a painting of Jesus.
Result: Bach is all about being animated, but he shuts up just long enough for Kat to give him a well done tattoo, with some nice color touches.

Patron: Letanya aka Domesticated Violence, Skater
Tattoo Artist: Hannah
Concept/Backstory: Hannah’s a professional roller derby player and she wants a tattoo of her sport.
Result: I really dug this tattoo. Hannah does a great job with detail and its cartoonish aspects make it a really fun design.
Patron: Justin, Graphic Designer
Tattoo Artist: Kat Von D
Concept/Backstory: Justin’s newborn son Ethan was born with a hole in his heart and he wants a tattoo of a panther to symbolize all that they’ve been through.
Result: Awesome job by Kat Von D; the panther tattoo is done on the neck and has some really cool colors and details.
Patron: Kimberly
Tattoo Artist: Kim
Concept/Backstory: Kimberly wants her family crest tattooed on her back. The crest symbolizes family loyalty.
Result: The final design, a gray tattoo, looks great on Kimberly’s back - some nice black/gray work by Kim.
Patron: Joel
Tattoo Artist: Hannah
Concept/Backstory: Joel lost his mother and wants a tattoo of bouquet of blue flowers on his leg to remember her.
Result: Good job by Hannah; these colorful, detailed designs seem to be right up her alley.
Tune in next week to see what happens when Hannah chooses between going home to Chicago or staying in Los Angeles. Comedian Margaret Cho also stops by to get a tattoo from Kat.
