Tonight’s episode of Prison Break was called “Interference,” referring to Michael’s latest plan of using an electro-magnetic pulse to interrupt electricity.
We start off by seeing the arrival of another mysterious prisoner. He seems to know Whistler from the 1990s in France and calls him by another name, McFadden. He also takes an interest in the rest of the American prisoners, including Michael Scofield.
Michael’s still eyeing the courtyard as his exit route, but realizes that it will be a tough plan to implement; the guards watch this area with particular care during the night. There’s only one thing to do; break out in broad daylight. Teamed up with Whistler, he manages to steal binoculars and 2 watches from other inmates, which they use to determine the guards day schedules. When Scofield gets caught looking out his cell’s window with the binoculars, we see a cliche scene in which the guards confront all of the prisoner at gunpoint and ask them to confess. The meaningful result is that the guards subsequently lock up Michael’s escape cell, rendering his original plan useless.
On the outside, Lincoln and Sofia are cooking up an escape plan for once Michael and Whistler break out of Sona. They’re able to find a car, but discover that the roads close to Sona are heavily guarded. They end up on a beach, with Lincoln burying something (either Sara’s head or more likely, a blow up raft) in the sand. Lincoln also takes a hard, lustful, stare at Sofia, hinting that he may get his first love interest since Veronica took a bullet in the head in the first episode of season 2.
Sucre can never seem to avoid trouble. He is approached by yet another mysterious man, who pays him $5,000 to sneak a package into Sona. When he is successful at doing this, the man asks Sucre to repeat the favor. The man’s bodyguard pressures Sucre into accepting the task. Expect Scofield’s former roommate to be caught sneaking in the second package and then wind up in Sona himself.
With Michael’s original plan out of the question, Mahone has another idea. He has noticed that the only guard they need to get by goes for coffee twice a day at the same times. We’re not explicitly told what they’re thinking, but my guess is that Scofield and gang will try to drug the guard’s coffee in some way.
So, all in all, this was another decent episode of Prison Break. Michael is again confronted with problems he can’t stop from arising. Another problem he can’t seem to get around is Major League Baseball. Fox will not be showing Prison Break next week due to the World Series. However, the network will be airing a two back-to-back Prison Break episodes two weeks from now on November 5th. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait.

Sucre is really a tragic character. He makes some of the dumbest decisions.
