The action on Heroes season 2 is beginning to heat up. This week’s episode “Fight or Flight” focused on two characters: Peter Petrelli and Matt Parkman.
Since Peter was found in Cork, Ireland he’s been fighting a past he can’t escape. He lost his memory after going nuclear at the end of season 1. Despite having the chance to open a box that may contain the secrets to his past, Peter has decided to move on with his new life and new girl.
Trouble can’t be avoided for long. Enter Elle, a young girl from the company, with a knack for violence. Her search for Peter at the docks sends him into hiding. Peter takes the advice of his new family and goes into hiding with Caitlin. While at Caitlin’s apartment, Peter decides to face his fear and open the pandora’s box. Unfortunately, what’s inside the box (a picture of Peter and Nathan, a passport and a ticket to Montreal) only leave more questions for Peter. A canvas inside Caitlin’s house evokes Isaac’s power within Peter and he begins to paint. The scene is a future with Peter and Caitlin in Montreal.
That’s when the phone rings and Caitlin realizes her brother has been killed. The killer is none other than Elle, Bob’s daughter who has the power of electricity.
Nathan and Parkman journey to Philadelphia to see Parkman senior looking for answers behind Molly’s sickness and the recent deaths in New York. But, Matt needs the additional nudge of Nathan and Mohinder (who has taken Molly in to the Company to help her to wake from her nightmare) to confront his father.
Funny moment of the week goes to an exchange between Nathan and Matt.
“Fine, you can probably get there faster, because you can uhh…” Matt makes a flying motion.
Nathan responds, “I’m not a cargo jet.”
When they confront Parkman senior, they get an unwanted encounter with his special power. He locks Matt and Nathan inside their worst nightmare, the same way he attacked Molly. Matt sees himself locked in jail; his ex-wife appears with her child accusing him of running away. Nathan sees the future he thought he helped avoid : the destruction of New York City.

Locked inside their nightmares, Matt and Nathan attack each other unwittingly. Luckily, Matt pushes his power further and breaks free before either of the two seriously injure the other.
Meanwhile, Monica Dawson has discovered her power. With the help of Micah, she realizes she has the power of the copycat, and can mimic anything she sees. Who shows up on her doorstep next? None other than Mohinder.
Next week’s episode is the “The Line” and will follow Mr. Bennett and the Haitian.
