Sara Tancredi’s head in a box. Major League Baseball in lieu of Scofield and Burrows. And now, Fox is reporting that Prison Break will go on a 4 month hiatus after its fall finale on December 17th. When will Fox realize they’re messing with the heads of Prison Break fans?
That’s right; Prison Break won’t be back on the air until April 24th. It was difficult enough during Season 2 to wait from November until January, but now fans have to wait twice that amount of time. And it’s not like this season’s plotline is stronger than that of last season.
Fox will be using the hiatus to launch their new show, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, in Prison Break’s usual timeslot. The new show is based on the Sarah Connor character from the Terminator movies and will be a lead-in to the Seventh Season of 24.
Prison Break will rejoin 24 on Monday nights in April and both shows will run to their season conclusions in June. And you have to wonder if this is the final season of Prison Break anyway. There’s no word yet from Fox on whether or not this will be the escape show’s swan song, but hopefully, they won’t drag the story out further than it should be.
