Season 2 of 30 Rock is shaping up to be much less focused on the life of Liz Lemon and her writers staff and more on Jack Donaghe, Jenna and Tracy.
In “The Collection,” Jack’s up for the title of CEO of GE. To prepare for GE’s background check, he hires a private eye to investigate his own background. Steve Buscemi makes a special guest appearance and exposes Jack’s secret cookie jar collection. Buscemi warns Jack that if he really wants to be CEO, he must give up the cookie jars. Unfortunately for Jack, those cookie jars symbolize a childhood without cookies and he’s not ready to sacrifice it. Luckily, Kenneth the Page turns up and shares Jack’s belief in the metaphorical mental support that comes from the cookie jar. Finally, Jack is able to give up his lifelong hobby and look forward to being CEO of GE.
Tracy’s wife has fully integrated herself in her wayward husband’s life. This becomes a problem for none other than Liz Lemon. Liz tries to cover for Tracy when he goes out to the strip club. Unfortunately, her poor cover job results in Tracy’s wife becoming Liz’s intermediary between herself and Tracy. Now, all sketches must go through Tracy’s wife for approval. The friction between his wife and Liz almost bring the two women to blows, when Tracy decides to “man up.” He steps between the two saying that they’re acting like children and forcing him to be the adult. Tracy’s wife gets turned on when Tracy talks back to her, which ends with the two making love in the dressing room.

The 30 Rock Moment of the Week goes to Jenna and Jack. Jenna who’s weight gain has started to work in her favor since her “Me Want Food” sketch, has been losing her weight and potential losing her public appeal. Jack confronts her on her weight loss.
“I even find you slightly attractive.” - Jack
“Don’t say that Jack.” - Jenna
Jenna slaps her belly lovingly, “Me want food right?”
Jack looks into her eyes and says accusingly, “Do you want food Jenna? Do you?”
Tune in every Thursday night for more on the Emmy Award winning 30 Rock.
