Stephen Colbert: From Political Talk Show Host to Author to Presidential HopefulStephen Colbert, star of the Comedy Central’s “Colbert Report,” recently released his book “I Am America (And So Can You!)” on Oct 9, 2007. But, that was only part of his master plan to brand his face in the hearts of Americans.

Colbert has recently announced that he will enter the Presidential Race. On Tuesday night’s Colbert Report, the pundit announced, “”I have heard the call… nation, I shall seek the office of the president of the United States.”

“I am from South Carolina and I am for South Carolina and I defy any other candidate to pander more to the people of South Carolina, those beautiful, beautiful people.”

With this announcement, Colbert joins the list of presidential hopefuls who released books revolving around their presidential consideration, including: Al Gore and most recently Barack Obama.

About “I Am America (And So Can You!)”:
Stephen explains his take on the most pressing concerns of our culture: Faith, Family…Hygiene. Why write this book now? Stephen fears America has lost its balls. He hopes to re-ballify us. Even the ladies. Ladies can have balls–lady-balls. Stephen likes to call those “Thatchers.” Stephen will show how he got his mammoth swinging sack, with tales of courage and vital documents from his own life: the Mother’s Day card he made at age six, disputed credit card bills, putt-putt score cards–all the major milestones.
