George Lucas announced he has begun work on a Live Action TV series based on the Star Wars franchise. The small screen production will have nothing to do with either Luke Skywalker or his father Darth Vader (aka Anakin Skywalker).
Lucas told the LA Times, “The Skywalkers aren’t in it, and it’s about minor characters… It has nothing to do with Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader or any of those people. It’s completely different. But it’s a good idea, and it’s going to be a lot of fun to do.”
Most Star Wars fanatics will be thrilled to see an ongoing Star Wars series that DOESN’T involve the original characters. Star Wars recreations from video games to novels have been well received by enthusiasts, primarily because they did NOT involve the original characters and still lived in the world of the Force. Fans were more than a little upset with “Phantom Menace” and “Episode II: Attack of the Clones,” which tarnished the memory of the original three films (Episodes IV-VI).
Lucas also has plans for an animated series called Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

DAMN. CAN THIS GUY STOP MILKING THE STAR WARS SERIES!!!!!!
