As a result of Kiefer Sutherland’s no contest plea to his misdemeanor drunk driving charge in an Los Angeles court yesterday, the actor is looking at a minimum of 48 days in jail. Sutherland was pulled over and found with an illegal blood-alcohol limit several weeks ago in LA.
The deal that Sutherland has made allows his jail time to not interfere with the production schedule of the seventh season of 24. Sutherland will be given his sentence on December 21 and then spend his first 18 days in jail.
Upon completion of the first 18 days, he’ll have to serve the remaining 30 before July 1, 2008. Hopefully, this guy will finally learn. It’s a shame that Hollywood types continue to get away with this stuff.
