Paramount Studios has confirmed that Transformers 2 will be released in theaters on June 26, 2009. Michael Bay had previously stated that efforts to make the film were hampered by rumors of a strike set to happen sometime in 2008.
2009 may seem like a long time away, but I wonder if the studio has enough time to put out a quality movie by that time. There’s no word yet on what the script will entail, but it will obviously be more about the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, probably with a few more transformers being introduced.
