“Good Luck Chuck” premieres in theaters today Sept 21. Stars Jessica Alba and Dane Cook used the premiere as an opportunity to give back to the community.
Alba and Cook attended the opening of “Good Luck Chuck” at a theater in Knoxville, Tennessee. Fans who wanted to watch the premiere with the actors paid a premium of $75 per ticket, the proceeds of which went to benefit the “Variety of Eastern Tennessee” charity. The group serves to aid children with disabilities.
On Tuesday “Jessica Alba and Dane Cook Day” was proclaimed by Mayor Bill Haslam of Knoxville.
The screening raised $260,000.
