I know it’s hard for most Xbox 360 Gamers to see past the release of Halo 3 in less than two weeks. But today some really exciting news for next year has surfaced out of Japan. Two of the country’s most celebrated game developers, Tomonobu Itagaki from Team NINJA/Tecmo Ltd. and Hironobu Sakaguchi from Mistwalker, have just announced that they plan to develop Ninja Gaiden 2 for the Xbox 360 console.
If you’re not familiar with the title, Ninja Gaiden dates back to the original Nintendo Entertainment System and was really one of the greatest games on that console. This particular sequel is a followup to the awesome game that originated on the original XBox console.
As expected, you’ll get to play as ninja Ryu Hayabusa where he must avenge his clan and prevent the destruction of the human race. Sounds like some lofty goals, but if prior titles are any indication, it’s all about the stellar gameplay and moves that Ryu can perform.
The game will be exclusive to the XBox 360 console and will be rleleased at some undetermined time in 2008.

Nice. But you’re right, anything past Sept 25th might as well be released on the Xbox 720 for all I care. HALO!!!!!
