Jackie Chan, star of the Rush Hour film series and several other Kung-Fu flicks, experienced back pain while on the set of his new movie with actor Jet Li.
The actor announced on his Blog that he aggravated an old back injury while on set in China. Chan, now 53, has long been respected for doing his own film stunts. But, it looks like this was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. He drummed up the old injury during a scene that required him to throw someone upwards.
Chan stated, “I had to walk down three steps and join Jet Li for one scene, and each time my feet hit the steps, pain shot through my back.”
His current film The Forbidden Kingdom is a story of an American teenager who embarks on a fantasy journey to ancient China.
