Linewatch, the story of a border-patrolman an ex-gang member, has been acquired by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Cuba Gooding Jr. stars as Michael Dixon, a man who has escaped the clutches of the LA gang scene. He’s built a life for himself as a border patrolman in New Mexico. Unfortunately, much like Michael Corleone in the Godfather, once your in as a gang member there’s no way of escaping that lifestyle. “Everytime, I try to get out, they pull me back in.” When Dixon’s wife and daughter are threatened by gang-leader Drake, Dixon must do whatever is necessary to protect the people he loves.
Linewatch will be a change of pace for Cuba Gooding. Recently, he has been most remembered for more family oriented Disney-level films, including Snow Dogs and Daddy Day Camp. The actor who became famous for his role in John Singleton’s Boyz in the Hood has been taking on less comedic roles of late. Gooding will also star in the November release of American Gangster, alongside Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
Linewatch is directed by Kevin Bray and written by David W. Warfield.
