The price drop was supposed to be more significant but they packed in more freebies so it works out to be about the same. I think they’re still scared to do a real price drop because it’d be like conceding defeat. Right now, Sony’s hand was forced and their no-price-drop approach quickly changed. I think Microsoft will hold out a while now before they do the next real price drop. It’s due course, if you ask me. They’re going to lose money one way or another so they might as well get more units in more homes and hope that they can boost software sales. 8)
