First there was ibelieveinharveyDent.com. Then, the “Joker” spoofed the site with his own version IBelieveInHarveyDentToo.com.
Then Warner Bros. took it one step further and released the Joker’s personal “Why So Serious” website.
But, Holy Smokes Batman. The advertising lunacy has just taken another turn. Now if you go to the Why So Serious Website, you’ll be redirected to the Rent-A-Clown website. Curiously enough, this site contains the same content as the Why So Serious website: pictures of people who participated in Friday’s Comic Con Joker madness.
What’s the point of all this? Who knows. But, you know what it got the Bag Man to visit the website. And, it just may get you to stop by as well. Will this make for a better movie? Probably not. But, the Dark Knight is sure becoming one of the most hyped movies to expect in the coming year. Hopefully, it won’t just be a huge let down.
