Alvin and the Chipmunks are back in CG. The movie stars Jason Lee as David Seville, Ross Bagdasarian Jr. as the voice of Alvin/Simon and Janice Karman as Theodore.

I’m a fan of the recent 80s nostalgia movement in Hollywood (Transformers, Thundercats, GI Joe), but this looks really cheesy… very similar to the Garfield movies of a couple years ago. I don’t even think this will work well for kids of today, who are much more mesmerized by full CGI animation movies like Ratatouille/Shrek/etc.
