Nicole Richie pleaded guilty today of driving while under the influance of illegal drugs. Richie, co-star of The Simple Life with recently freed jailbird Paris Hilton, was sentenced to 4 days in jail and a $2048 fine.
Richie’s sentence includes completion of a second-offender drug and alcohol program, that she must complete in in the first quarter of 2008. She joins the ranks of celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Mel Gibson, both of whom have also been in alcohol rehabilitation programs.
Richie was caught driving under the influence while driving the wrong way on the freeway.
