On July 14, Miami Ink tattoo artist legend Kat Von D opened up her new rockin’ tattoo spot, High Voltage Tattoo, to the public. The LA based shop is also the focus of TLC’s new Miami Ink tattoo shop spin off series LA Ink, starring Kat Von D.
For Kat fans who have been dying to see their favorite tattoo artist since her departure from Miami Ink, walk-ins are welcome at High Voltage: Monday through Friday, 9pm to midnight, and Saturday and Sunday, 2pm to midnight. So, skate up the hot mini ramp and sit down in Kat’s tattoo chair for some new ink.
Unfortunately, during the filming season, the shop will be closed to the public on weekends until 9pm. But, hey why not try getting cast on the show by stopping lainkcasting.com.

I’m in LA for a few days from near Detroit and would love to see the shop and maybe get some work done, piercing too. I will begrudgingly admit that I am from the midwest and out of my element, but I know great art when I see it. This whole area is a dream. Can I survive there?

I think Kat’s work is amazing. I’m savin’ my cash for a road trip from Abbotsford to LA to get my first tattoo done by her. Her style is amazing. And I love that she doesn’t take shit from anyone.

OMG!!!! I love Kat Von D! I watch her show all the time! It’s the best show ever, in fact it’s my favorite show! She’s awesome! People talk to much shit. Hey tattooyou2…THANK YOU! You made my day. I watch Miami Ink regularly and I liked Kat until the episode with Orange County Choppers and Sr. Tuttle and his girl friend. I thought Kat was sooooo arrogant and stuck up they way she treated them on the phone. And how she would rag on the tattoo shop to customers and in front of Ami and staff was so unprofessional and immature. She is a SPOILED BRAT! I do agree that she is a very talented tattoo artist, no denying that. However, she is ONE DUMB BITCH! She can barely make a sentence that has any structure to it. She sounds like she did not even graduate high school. Her extensive vocabulary of “Awesome” and “Cool” are truly impressive. She wears tons of make-up, has a hair weave/extensions, has a belly gut that hangs out of her to tiny clothes (she needs to go up quite a few sizes), is a lazy ass that has the most terrible posture, and gives VAIN a whole new meaning. GET REAL “KAT VON DUECHE-BAG!” PHONY ASS, EGOTISTICAL BAA-ITCH! I have NEVER watched her show, and NEVER will.

We love this show. My son has piercings and he got us hooked on Miami Ink, or fav was always Kat, not we watch her show faithfully and yea, Im over 40! Shes awesome!
