It was already somewhat expected, but the villain of all villains will be returning to Heroes in season 2. A representative for Zachary Quinto, the actor who plays the power sucking villain Sylar, confirmed that the actor will be a series regular next season.
All throughout the first season, it was hinted that Sylar needed to be killed in order for the bomb threat to be stopped. Even more in the finale, Hiro (Masi Oka) stabbed the super villain - thwarting him of his conquest to kill all the other heroes. However, the last image we were left with was a blood trail away from the spot in which Sylar was stabbed, implying that he survived.
In other Heroes’ casting news, newly crowned Miss Universe Riyo Mori is a hopeful to play Yaeko, a love interest of Hiro, in Season 2. The role will be one of a damsel in distress, located in ancient Japan (where Hiro transported himself mistakenly at the end of Season 1). The choice for Mori isn’t finalized, so stay tuned to see who will be cast in the role.

That’s bull. That’s just like in comics - You die then you are randomly resurrected under some stupid pretense just because fans are mad you killed the character off and you bow to their will sacrificing your creative integrity.
i remember the one rule of comics were that three strong/pivotal characters died and never came back.
1) Bucky
2) Uncle Ben
3) Jason Todd
First Marvel, brings back Bucky as Winter Soldier. Then Jason Todd is resurrected cause of the mullllllltiverse. And NOW SYLAR… the world is over. Why not bring back Uncle Ben in Spider-Man as well and just say he had super-powers all along but was testing Peter by faking his death all these years, to see what kind of man he’d grow up to be.
HUMBUG!!!!
Yehey, thats great…. But we’ll have to wait three months later until Season 2 comes out. wow, we’ll all go find something else to watch and will probably forget about Heroes. Look at what happened to Lost…its gone baby! If you make people wait, they will find something else to occupy their time.
