According to the Hollywood Reporter, American Idol’s Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee will make her film debut in the indepedent film The Last Caller. In the movie, she plays a woman in search of love and hope during random events with other urban seekers.
She told the Hollywood Reporter:
“I’m up for a couple of big studio projects, but they weren’t starring roles. I wanted to start off doing something a little different. It’s something that a lot of people wouldn’t expect me doing.”
