It looks like the Heroes cast has grown by one. Actress Dania Ramirez will join the cast of the hit NBC show during its second season this fall. Ramirez’s role on the show is expected to be regular and she will play a character named Maya, a new hero whose powers have not yet been disclosed.
Playing a person with special powers is not new to Ramirez, who played Callisto in 2006’s X-Men 3: The Last Stand. Ramirez also played a key role in season six of The Sopranos as AJ’s fiancée. Her break-up with him sent Tony Sopranos son into a spiral of depression that resulted in a botched suicide attempt.
Ahhhh… It’s all clear now. I always wondered why she slept with AJ on The Sopranos. Now, I know it’s because she was using him to advance her career.
