NBC Universal and Dick Wolf reach an agreement on Sunday to keep “Law & Order” and its two spinoffs on the air. The original “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” will remain on NBC while “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” episodes will premiere on the USA cable network.
“Law & Order” will enter its 18th season on NBC. The network will announce its fall television schedule today, opening a week where all the broadcasters outline next season’s plans to advertisers in New York.
NBC had only wanted two of Wolf’s series on next year’s schedule and got the better two of the three shows.
