Lionsgate has just signed Ethan Hawke onto its latest vampire chiller Daybreakers.
The film is set to start shooting in Australia this July. Peter and Michael Spierig, the creative minds behind The Undead (2003), wrote and directed the thriller.
Plot Outline:
The movie is set in 2017. An epidemic of vampires threatens to end the human population. The twist here is that vampires need human blood to survive. So, its either farm the human race in Matrix like fashion or find a substitute for human blood. With the race nearing extinction, a small sect of vampires stumble onto a solution that may save the human race.
