“Spider-Man 3” is already staking its claim as the summers biggest blockbuster, with record-setting opening-day ticket revenues in Asia on Tuesday. It’s box office take was larger than the first-day grosses of both Spider-Man 1 and 2 in both Japan and South Korea.
In fact, it represents the biggest opening-day ever for any film in Hong Kong and South Korea.
In Japan, the movie brought in an estimated $3.5 million while it also brought in $3.4 million in South Korea.
If you’re here in the US, you probably know that the movie opens this Friday and that advanced ticket sales are already off the charts.
