If you’re not an actor, this may be your only chance to obtain a “coveted” Golden Popcorn award from the MTV Movie Awards show.
MTV is calling all creative people to produce a video spoof of one of several listed movies that have been released in the past year. If you’ve ever seen the awards show, it always has a pretty well done spoof of a popular movie that’s been released in the last year.
There are quite a few genres to choose from including action pictures, comedies, horror movies, blockbusters, and romance stories. MTV also supplies clips for 6 movies, as well as licensed music from many others.
Once contestants upload their video, they’re encouraged to get all their friends to vote. The winner will be announced live during MTV’s June 3rd broadcast of the show. This definitely seems like a fun contest that will exploit the explosion of online video and the willingness of people to make complete fools of themselves at the sake of pop culture.
