After three months of syndication, the reality series “Grease: You’re the One That I Want” has come to a close. Max Crumm and Laura Osnes were chosen by viewers to star in this summer’s 10 million dollar revival of Grease.
Neither Crumm nor Osnes were natives to the the Hollywood or New York entertainment scene. Crumm left his hometown of Phoenix three years ago. Osnes, left the comfort of Minneapolis to pursue her dreams of acting. And, it seems dreams still can come true. Crumm was so excited when his name got called to play Danny Zuko, he yelled , “I can’t believe this. Whoa!” Osnes, the actress who will play Sandy Dumbrowski, said, “This is my dream come true.”
Grease opens at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on August 19. This will be the musical’s third Broadway production. The production will be an amalgamation of songs from both the stage version of the musical and the 1978 movie, starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.
