Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental overdose of taking 9 prescription medications. The former Playboy Playmate was taking sleeping medication and at least eight other prescription drugs, and she had recently had a bacterial infection from injecting drugs into her buttocks.
Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said Smith died of “combined drug intoxication” with the sleeping medication chloral hydrate as the major factor. She had been taking a lengthy list of medications, including methadone for pain and valium, he said.
This is a very sad ending to the life of someone that was obviously going through a lot of pain. Ms. Smith lost her son a mere 5 months before her death.. also to an accidental drug overdose.
very sad that she overdosed.. seems like everything just got to her and she tried to drown the pain away.
