Recording legend Elton John celebrates his 60th birthday today, but the pop star isn’t taking taking this day off to relax. John has more to celebrate, like his 60th appearance at MSG, this Sunday. John is the current record holder for most appearances at MSG, a title he won from the Greatful Dead in 2001.
To commemorate his birthday, the icon is making his entire back album catalogue available for digital download. Starting Monday, you will be able to download more than 400 of John’s tracks, including “Empty Sky and Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.”
The singer has more gifts in store for fans. Elton John’s new website launched on March 19.
Tonight’s concert will be recorded and aired asa two-hour special on April 5 on MyNetworkTV.
