'The Green Hornet' coming to film

greenhornet.jpgColumbia Pictures has stated that it will make a movie out of “The Green Hornet” Franchise. Columbia optioned rights to the property, with Neal H. Moritz to produce the movie.

“The Green Hornet” follows the tale of Brit Reid, a millionaire publisher who moonlights as a masked crime fighter. It was initially a radio show done by “Lone Ranger” creators Fran Striker and George Trendle in 1936 but then became a popular via its comic book, movies and TV shows. Recent attempts to develop it for the bigscreen had always fizzled.
