wiiman.jpgResearch firm NPD Group has reported that Nintendo sold as many Wii game consoles in February as both of Microsoft and Sony put together.

Nintendo sold 355,000 Wiis during February, versus Microsoft selling 228,000 Xbox 360s units. Sony came in last by selling an abysmal 127,000 of its PlayStation 3 consoles.

I actually think this is great news, regardless of what console you like. Anyone that takes business 101 knows that competition will up the stakes and force these three juggernauts to come out with the next greatest thing. Only time will tell who really will win the “next gen” war. PS3 and XBox boast superior hardware and graphics. However, Nintendo has a lower price point since they focused on innovation and fun rather than the “most muscle under the hood.”
