Three decades ago, in a galaxy far far away. Mark Hamill debuted as David on “Eight is Enough” on March 15, 1977. He was the oldest child in the family. And like all teenage children, Mark ended up being the rebel of the cast. Mark had enough of “Eight is Enough” (couldn’t resist). The then obscure actor decided he was too old for the family and decided to fly the coop. Literally.
What did he do? He went on to star in George Lucas’ space cult classic Star Wars. As for He was replaced on set by Grant Goodeve. Who’s Grant? Who cares? Mark Hamill made the right choice and is now a legend.
